Job Title Plant Engineering Supply Chain Analyst The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Plant Engineering Supply Chain Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Develop and expand knowledge of supply chain and/or corporate systems and provide application and process support through partnership with IT and business clients. Support process and systems solutions through ongoing analysis to meet changing needs, suggesting and producing system modifications, re-releases and new systems where appropriate. Use supply chain analysis tools and software applications to support the business, providing analytical support to interpret data and make recommendations to aid in the management and improvement of supply chain performance. Develop and maintain data sources required for analysis using corporate-supported databases and analysis tools and identify and evaluate the use of appropriate supply chain processes to support business functions. Increase knowledge of supply chain strategies and activities to meet specific customer requirements through assigned activities and interaction with peers and clients, possibly leading implementation projects and providing direction to focused teams. Perform application release and end-to-end testing, develop test data, perform system tests, analyze test data and make recommendations based on test results. Develop and maintain process or application documentation for operational use, auditing of processes, and end‑user training, using media best suited for the audience such as written or web-based formats. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start). Seven (7) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification is preferred. Knowledge of applicable software, including integrated planning tools. Possesses knowledge and understanding of supply chain and business unit organizations. Familiarity with Six Sigma methodology is preferred. Location, Travel, and Relocation Work location: Onsite Cottage Grove, MN. Travel: May include up to 10% Relocation Assistance: May be authorized. Salary Expected compensation range for this position is $84,595 - $103,394, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
