Sanitation Supervisor

Sanitation Supervisor Overview This supervisor will ensure the entire plant is thoroughly cleaned on schedule and approved by the USDA for production operations. The position is responsible for plant-wide cleaning and requires willingness to work the second shift. Responsibilities Supervise sanitation activities for plant workers. Ensure tasks are completed correctly and timely. Maintain hourly personnel records for employees. Ensure safe operation of the sanitation shift. Carry out manager’s responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws. Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems. Maintain communication links between the plant and USDA regarding sanitation issues. Maintain communication links between the plant and chemical suppliers. Ensure all sanitation employees follow established cleaning procedures required by Pilgrim’s Pride and regulatory agencies. Manage inventory and usage of sanitation-related products. Manage sanitation budget. Experience Must have previous management experience in a food or poultry processing facility, typically a minimum of 1 year of directly related experience. Directly related work experience may be accepted on a year‑for‑year basis in lieu of an educational requirement. Knowledge & Skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Proficient in MS Office software applications. Education Typically prefers but is not required a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
