This role oversees material handling processes, provides guidance to team members, and supports inventory accuracy through effective use of MRP systems and documentation. Responsibilities include coordinating stockroom activities, issuing materials to manufacturing, and driving process improvements while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Help establish and document material handling procedures.Understands implications of work and recommends solutions.Work closely with manufacturing to provide materials as needed issue material from the stockroom to manufacturing.May provide guidance to other non-exempt warehouse employees.Maintain correct inventory levels in the stockroom.May determine methods and procedures for new assignments and adhere to established guidelines.Prepare reports and conduct inventories in the stockroom.Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe manner.Always maintain safe practices.Use the inventory data base and become proficient in the receiving and stockroom related transactions.Maintain a professional relationship with all vendors and delivery people.Comply with all company quality assurance methodologies and goals.Performs other tasks as assigned.May drive company truck and/or forklift.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
