OTR Driver Job Description
Job Summary
Crosslin Trucking LLC is seeking reliable and professional Over-the-Road (OTR) Drivers to safely transport freight across state lines. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and committed to delivering loads on time while representing the company with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle safely and efficiently in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Transport freight over long distances, including overnight and multi-day trips
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
- Maintain accurate driver logs, electronic logs (ELDs), and required paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, or issues
- Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of freight when applicable
- Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned truck
- Represent Crosslin Trucking LLC in a professional manner with customers and the public
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL (Required)
- Minimum [2 years] verifiable OTR driving experience preferred
- Clean driving record and PSP/MVR
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet delivery schedules
- Physically able to sit for extended periods and perform job-related tasks
