As a Security Officer Screening Associate in San Leandro, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, screen people and/or materials, and help support smooth daily operations. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $19.95 / Hour Job Schedule Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific procedures, screening activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipping documentation, and report unusual activity, policy violations, or unauthorized access attempts. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help support security‑related operations, noting issues such as damaged gates, unsecured access points, and/or suspicious behavior. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
