Nuclear Medicine TechnologistAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Nuclear Medicine Technologists (NMT) to support operations at the Syracuse VA Medical Center located at 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210. Services to be provided include the full range of Nuclear Medicine department operations. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for nuclear medicine imaging proceduresPerform diagnostic nuclear medicine studies, including but not limited to: Bone scans, brain scans, cardiac stress tests, GI bleed scans, HIDA, thyroid, lung perfusion/ventilation, iodine therapyPrepare and administer radioactive and non-radioactive pharmaceuticalsAccurately record radiopharmaceutical dosesOperate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and monitoring systemsEvaluate image quality and take corrective action when neededMonitor patients during procedures and report abnormal changes to physiciansEnter imaging data and notes into VA electronic medical records (CPRS/PACS)Follow all radiation safety, ALARA, infection control, and VA policiesClean, disinfect, and maintain equipment and work areasDocument delayed cases with reason and plan of actionCommunicate professionally with patients, providers, and staffQualificationsCertification by NMTCB or ARRT (N) in Nuclear Medicine TechnologyCurrent, full, and unrestricted Radiologic Technology license (U.S. state/territory/DC)Minimum 3 years of experience performing nuclear medicine examsAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English fluentlyBLS certification (American Heart Association)Completion of VA-required training (HIPAA, Privacy, CPRS, VISTA, Cyber Security)Annual continuing education to maintain certificationSuccessful VA credentialing, background investigation, and health screeningsCompliance with immunization and TB testing requirementsNo sponsorship availablePay Range: $85.00 - $90.00 hourlyAll candidates must be able to:Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shiftLift up to 50 lbs from floor to waistLift up to 20 lbsCarry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distancePush/pull with 30 lbs of forceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
