Sterling Lighting is a small business specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of outdoor lighting fixtures and accessories used in landscape and architectural lighting designs. Our purpose is to elevate outdoor lighting professionals. We love to see small businesses succeed. We build products that help our customers to build a successful Landscape Lighting business. At Sterling Lighting, we desire to build a team of collaborative individuals that work together toward our common goal that serves our purpose to elevate outdoor lighting professionals. MISSION Ensure Sterling's marketing vision is translated into clear plans and executed cleanly across email, social, video, and digital channels, without requiring constant director oversight. OUTCOMES 1. Marketing content is published accurately, on-brand, and on schedule What success looks like Copy written by leadership is formatted, QA'd, and distributed correctly Emails, blogs, and social posts go out when planned Errors are rare and caught before launch Measurable 95%+ of scheduled content publishes on time Near-zero broken links, formatting issues, or incorrect assets Minimal rework requested by Directors 2. Social content is planned, scheduled, and tracked What success looks like A clear view exists of what has gone out and what's coming next Posts are scheduled consistently across platforms Performance is monitored and summarized Measurable Rolling social calendar maintained Weekly or monthly performance snapshot provided No gaps or duplicate posts 3. Video shoots are prepared and supported effectively What success looks like Loose ideas are turned into clear shot lists Required assets, locations, gear, and people are identified ahead of time Shoots run smoothly with minimal scrambling Measurable Shot lists prepared before each shoot Fewer last-minute questions or missing items Video team receives usable direction and assets 4. Creative execution is coordinated across the team What success looks like Simple graphics are produced from templates in Canva Higher-level creative needs are routed to the right team members Feedback is communicated clearly and efficiently Measurable Canva assets follow templates and brand guidelines Creative hand-offs are clean and timely Fewer back-and-forth revisions due to unclear direction 5. Marketing assets are organized and easy to find What success looks like Non-video assets are stored logically and consistently Naming conventions and folder structures are followed Anyone can locate what they need without asking Measurable Assets stored in correct locations No duplicated or lost files Clean hand-offs between marketing contributors 6. Director visibility is maintained without micromanagement What success looks like You always know what's in progress, blocked, or completed Questions are raised early, not at the deadline The machine runs without constant check-ins Brand guidelines and voice are consistently and effectively followed Measurable Regular status updates without chasing Clear "ready for review" moments Fewer last-minute emergencies Requirements COMPETENCIES 1. Vision Absorption Quickly understands direction from verbal or written input and translates it into clear next steps. 2. Execution Coordination Comfortable moving work between people, tools, and timelines without losing details. 3. Attention to Detail Catches errors before launch; treats QA as part of the job, not an afterthought. 4. Structured Thinking Naturally organizes ideas, assets, and workflows into systems others can follow. 5. Proactive Communication Raises questions early, flags risks, and keeps leadership informed without noise.
