Job Title: Nurse Director Labor and Delivery

Position Purpose

Holy Cross Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Director to lead our Labor and Delivery and High-Risk Perinatal Units. This leadership role is responsible for the operational management, clinical oversight, and strategic direction of the department. The Director will ensure the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for a diverse adult patient population while supporting the mission and values of Holy Cross Health and Trinity Health.

What You Will Do

• Provide leadership and accountability for the Labor and Delivery and High Risk Perinatal units, ensuring the efficient coordination of patient care services.
• Oversee clinical operations including staffing, budgeting, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and support the professional development of nursing and support staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a seamless patient experience and high standards of maternal and newborn care.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement evidence-based practices to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Ensure department compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Participate in strategic planning, resource management, and long-term goal setting for Women's Services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• Licensure: Current Maryland RN license and/or Compact State licensure.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in nursing leadership within an acute care setting.
• Specialty nursing certification required within six months of hire.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, lead teams, and drive performance improvement initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.

Pay Rate

$54.94 - $82.40

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
