Project Manager I

Summary:
Responsible for the technical, administrative, budget, and schedule management of assigned engineering projects, including compressor stations, meter and regulator stations, pipeline facilities, and other natural gas and industrial projects. Coordinates project teams, develops and maintains schedules, monitors budgets and progress, delegates assignments, and ensures project deliverables are accurate and completed on time. Maintains communication with clients, vendors, and internal engineering disciplines throughout the project. Applies project management, technical knowledge, and sound judgment to resolve issues and support the successful completion of assigned projects.

Reporting Structure:
Sr. Project Manager

Authority/Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises project team during each project. Project teams may include some or all of the following: Engineers, Designers, Drafters, and Administrative Assistants. Conduct or assist in Annual Performance Evaluations for members of the project team. Ability to motivate staff and set appropriate standards for professional performance. Assist Sr. Project Manager in identifying training needs for assigned team and then implementing the training plan.

Education/Experience:

Experience/Education can be one of the following three (3) tracks:
A four (4) year bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or business administration with a major in project management and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering and/or project coordination of similar projects, or-
A four (4) year technology degree and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in engineering and/or project coordination of similar projects, or-
A two (2) year technology degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in engineering and/or project coordination of similar projects.
Project Management experience preferred.
Completion of OSHA 10 Hour Construction certification within six (6) months of beginning role.

Responsibilities:
•Conduct regular project status meetings, providing progress updates, identifying, andaddressing potential issues, and escalating as needed to meet safety, quality, and productionrequirements.
•Compile and manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
Project Manager I
• Manage change orders of pricing, scope, and schedule in a timely and effective manner.
• Coordinate and supervise engineering activities, ensuring they align with project goals and
meet technical specifications.
• Provide engineering project design in your discipline (i.e., mechanical, electrical, etc.)
• Implement and monitor project performance metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, risks,
and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide monthly/periodic billing information to the Sr. Project Manager and/or Accounting
with timely information required to issue customer invoices.
• Prepare project estimates and proposals.
• Prepare Financial Reviews and Project Summaries during and at completion of a project.
• Attend meetings at Customer and/or construction site for project and construction reviews,
commissioning, and startup.
• Chair project kick-off meetings and critical design reviews on assigned projects.
• Assist with or conduct Marketing/Sales presentations to aid in obtaining future business.

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to manage small projects (5,000 manhours or less) with an assigned
team of six (6) to eight (8) members.
• Possesses clear and direct written and verbal communication skills with both the internal
team and Customers and Vendors.
• Experience preparing estimates and proposals.
• Able to delegate tasks to Engineers, Designers and Drafters.
• Thoroughly familiar with contract and work scope and ensures the requirements of scope,
schedule and cost are met.
• Ability to prepare reports as directed by the Customer, or, if no Customer format, use
Company’s database.
• Experience setting up document/drawing list and punch list at the start of the project and
monitoring progress throughout the project.
• Experience reviewing and approving invoices.

Project Manager I
•Experience reviewing and approving project time submitted in time keeping system.
•Experience reviewing and approving purchase orders and subcontracts within the limits ofAuthority to Purchase in Procedure P6-6.
•Responsive to internal and external stakeholders.
•Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
•Working knowledge of design software specific to group and discipline.
•Working knowledge of Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs).
•Able to read and understand engineering drawings and documents in all related disciplines(Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automation).
•Understanding of the natural gas industry both from a business perspective and technicalperspective.
•Complete assigned Leadership/Management training.

The ability to work overtime, 10 to 20 hours per week when workload is necessary, is required. Some domestic travel may be required.
