Reports To: General Manager

Position Summary
Paul Davis Restoration is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and driven Estimator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in the success of our operations by creating accurate and comprehensive estimates across all service divisions, including Emergency Mitigation, Mold Remediation, Contents Restoration, and Reconstruction.
The ideal candidate will possess strong estimating skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of restoration and construction processes. This individual will work closely with project managers, technicians, insurance professionals, and customers to ensure estimates are completed accurately, timely, and in alignment with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and gather information necessary to prepare accurate estimates.
• Write and manage estimates for:
  • Water Mitigation
  • Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration
  • Mold Remediation
  • Contents Restoration and Cleaning
  • Reconstruction and Repair Services
• Utilize Xactimate and other estimating software to create detailed and accurate project estimates.
• Review scopes of work and ensure estimates align with project requirements and company standards.
• Communicate effectively with insurance adjusters, customers, project managers, and technicians throughout the estimating process.
• Submit estimates and supporting documentation in a timely manner.
• Review estimate approvals, supplements, and change orders as needed.
• Assist with project handoffs to operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain organized and accurate project records.
• Stay current on industry standards, pricing databases, and restoration best practices.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience in restoration, construction, insurance, or a related industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of water mitigation, mold remediation, contents restoration, and reconstruction processes.
• Experience with Xactimate required.
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and restoration procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• IICRC certifications are a plus.
• Experience working directly with insurance carriers and adjusters.
• Previous experience in the restoration industry.
