You’ll help clients improve how they grow, lead, operate, and serve investors while developing practical consulting resources that strengthen Practice Management across the firm.The role requires business strategy, intellectual curiosity, commercial judgment, and strong client engagement skills. Successful candidates help advisory businesses move from insight to action and develop resources that can be applied across client relationships.Success requires the ability to engage financial advisors and firm leadership, contribute to strategic discussions, create actionable business resources, and manage multiple concurrent client engagements.What Success Looks LikeBuild credibility across client relationships by supporting high-quality consulting engagementsStrengthen relationships across priority advisory firms, platforms, and relationship teamsSupport adoption of strategic business initiatives through practical guidance and client-ready resourcesDevelop resources that financial advisors can apply to support client action and business improvementContribute to the scalability and consistency of Practice Management across the organizationHelp reinforce State Street Investment Management’s reputation as a credible, practical resource for advisory firms and wealth management platformsProvide day-to-day management, coaching, and direction for Practice Management direct reports while strengthening consulting discipline and execution over time.What We’re Looking ForApproximately 6–8 years of experience in wealth management, advisory consulting, practice management, or a related financial services function, with direct exposure to the wealth management or advisory industry.Experience developing client-ready business content, such as presentations, discussion guides, reports, or frameworks, including examples of original work and materials adapted from existing concepts.Demonstrated experience managing projects or workstreams from planning through delivery, including scoping, timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and execution.Experience facilitating business discussions with financial advisors, advisory teams, or wealth management leadership.Strong candidates bring capability across five dimensions:Consultant — Able to frame business challenges, facilitate productive conversations, and help clients move toward practical next steps.Business Strategist — Understands how advisory firms grow, operate, lead teams, differentiate, and adapt to changing markets.Communicator — Comfortable presenting to financial advisor, advisory team, and firm leadership audiences and facilitating workshops.Content Creator — Develops presentations, discussion guides, playbooks, and educational resources from idea through delivery, creating original materials and adapting existing resources for client use.Organized Operator — Manages concurrent client engagements and deadlines while communicating priorities, risks, and progress clearly.Additional QualificationsStrong written, verbal, presence, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.Experience working collaboratively across multiple business functionsBachelor’s degree requiredCFP, CFA, MBA, CIMA, CEPA, CPWA, or similar professional designations valued but not requiredAbility to travel approximately 25–35%Salary Range: $110,000 - $188,750 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
