Position Summary:

The Production Assembler performs a variety of assembly operations on standard and precision mechanical assemblies and subassemblies in support of Drytech's manufacturing operations. This position requires the ability to accurately interpret work instructions, drawings, specifications, and procedures while maintaining the highest standards of quality, workmanship, and safety.

Successful candidates will possess strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, specifications, and manufacturing procedures.

Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, travelers, process sheets, and other manufacturing documentation.

Position, align, and secure parts and components to precise specifications.

Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and production equipment to perform assembly operations.

Perform fastening, riveting, crimping, sealing, soldering, encapsulating, adhesive bonding, and related assembly operations.

Operate production equipment including, but not limited to, arbor presses, drill presses, punch presses, and other assembly equipment as authorized.

Inspect assembled products to ensure compliance with quality requirements and workmanship standards.

Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming conditions or quality concerns to supervision.

Maintain accurate production records and complete required manufacturing documentation.

Participate in corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company policies and 5S principles.

Comply with all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and AS9100 standards.

Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safely handle chemicals, adhesives, solvents, and cleaning agents as required.

Qualifications:

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or mechanical experience preferred.

Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, filtration, or precision manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to read and understand written instructions, drawings, and specifications.

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Commitment to producing high-quality work with minimal supervision.

Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and schedules.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.

Manual dexterity sufficient to perform detailed assembly work.

Ability to safely work with small parts and precision components.

Visual acuity sufficient to inspect and assemble detailed products.

Training and Certification

Employees will receive on-the-job training specific to Drytech products and processes. Production Assemblers must successfully complete required training, evaluations, and certifications associated with assigned manufacturing operations.
