Job Status: Hourly

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, Weekends
Reports to: Scheduler

Positions Supervised: Assigned Forklift Operator

Travel Required: 0%-10%

Job Summary:
The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for safely unloading trucks and/or railcars and entering material into the inventory system while maintaining environmental and safety compliance at all times.


Essential Functions/Duties:
• Work with a safety mindset at all times.
• Verify material on the truck matches purchase order and reject incorrect or moldy material.
• Tag all bundles with inventory tags.
• Ensure bundles are stamped with order number or treatment (depending on location) correctly and enter material received in the inventory management system correctly.
• Coordinate the unloading of inbound rail cars, and release of empty cars to railroad for pick-up
• Estimate heartwood percentage in each bundle as it is received.
• Notify the salesperson when a sales order is received.
• Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed and report all unsafe or non-compliant.
• Attend all training sessions and safety meetings.
• Computer duties as necessary.
• Other duties as directed.

Qualifications:
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Experience with lumber and plywood sizing, grading, and knowledge of wood species preferred.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems.
• Ability to read and write and communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type.
• Ability to demonstrate behaviors conforming to Hoover's set of values and accepted standards.
• Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one's ability using his or her own drive or initiative.
• Be comfortable working within Windows based programs, using a word processor, and email. Must have a good knowledge of spreadsheeting.

Work Environment:
Indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Can be hot, cold, humid, and/or rainy. May require climbing heights of up to 50 feet.


Training Requirements:
Immediately upon hire or assignment to the PET Saw Operator position, training will take place in Safety and Environmental programs. Training on the PET Saw will take place once all safety training has been completed. Annual training over all programs.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.50 per hour
