Delivery Driver - Tewksbury, MaLocation: Tewksbury, MaSchedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00am departure timeEmployment Type: Full TimeHours: 30-45 hours per week Pay Rate: $23.00 per hourDo you enjoy tackling a new adventure each day? Operating rain, shine or snow, you will be challenged to navigate a variety of urban, suburban and rural delivery routes that change each day and range from Connecticut through Northern New Jersey. If you're ready to get behind the wheel of a Walden Local delivery van, then we want to hear from you!This is a great position dual position for anyone who loves to drive, see new areas of New England and is looking to get started with a delivery career - we will train interested candidates!What You'll DoSafely drive a 14-foot delivery van in urban, suburban and rural areas in all weather across New England.Safely drive a 26ft box truck in urban, suburban and rural areas, including parallel parking and backing into tight loading docksAssist with loading and unloading your truckRegularly communicate with other Logistics and Operations team membersComply with all DOT and Walden safety policies, including daily safety checks of your assigned vehiclesAssist with loading and unloading your delivery vanRespectfully deliver monthly meat subscription shares to our members' homes, paying close attention to delivery instructionsCollect prior month's delivery bags, re-fold and return them to the warehouse for re-useAnswer basic customer service inquiries from Walden Local members during their home deliveryComplete pre-departure and end-of-route paperwork regarding your route and the condition of your delivery vehicle to ensure any maintenance needs are documented for the Maintenance teamMaintain the overall cleanliness of your delivery van by removing personal items, cleaning out any trash and promptly cleaning up any food or beverage spills promptly each dayCoordinate on the fly delivery adjustments with our Member Experience team to ensure each member's monthly delivery goes smoothlyPitch in with miscellaneous warehouse tasks as needed on scheduled non-delivery daysWhat You'll BringPassion for our mission to support local and sustainable food and agricultureValid DOT medical card, or ability to get one prior to startingHome delivery, commercial driving or Lyft/Uber/Instacart/etc. experienceValid Driver's LicenseA clean driving record for at least the past 3 yearsAbility to lift and carry 25-50 pounds while walking and climbing up and down stairsComfort with driving and working in varying weather conditionsA track record of excellent work attendanceWillingness to get hands dirty and jump in to do whatever needs to get doneBonus points if you have...Food or agriculture industry experienceDelivery or commercial driving experienceDon't check all the boxes?
