Job Title

RN (Registered Nurse) – Cardiac Cath Lab / IR

Location

Omaha, NE | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday–Friday 0700–1600 with on-call coverage evenings, overnight, and weekends as required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform intra-procedural circulating duties including supply management, medication administration, and sedation monitoring in a 3-suite Cath Lab / IR environment
• Care for patients presenting with diagnoses including chest pain, PE/DVT, PHTN, compression fractures, venous access needs, hydronephrosis, and gastric ulcer, among others
• Support an average of 4–5 cases per day across cardiac and interventional radiology procedures; prepared to respond to STEMIs and manage patients up to IABP stabilization
• Participate in on-call rotation including a minimum of 10 weeknight call shifts, a minimum of 2 weekend call shifts (1 IR and 1 Cardiac), and holiday call as required; call response time is 30 minutes
• Float daily and on-call as needed across applicable areas
• Pass a department-specific open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% — failure to meet this threshold may result to termination of contract

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology experience
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates may not currently hold full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with any facility associated with CommonSpirit Health, including CHI and/or Dignity Health
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply may result in termination of contract
• All requested time off (7 days or fewer per 13-week contract) must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a versatile lab environment handling both IR procedures and cardiac inpatient add-ons
• Familiarity with EPIC and Apollo cardiac charting systems
• Experience with IABP and STEMI response protocols
