Senior Staff Product Designer, Agentic Commerce

Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet. About the Team The Product Design team focuses on all user‑facing aspects of Stripe’s brand and product. Designers work closely with Engineering and Product Management to shape user experiences, build high‑quality designs, and iterate based on testing and feedback. The Brick‑Team specifically explores and builds tools to accelerate agentic commerce, collaborating with partners such as OpenAI to create new payment primitives and a suite that enables consumers and merchants to transact across multiple AI interfaces. What you’ll do You’ll lead design for Agentic Commerce, working with a small group of Product Managers and Engineers to shape strategy and build transformative products for merchants, agents, and consumers. Your focus will be on re‑imagining checkout experiences with agentic commerce capabilities, embedding those capabilities across conversational LLMs, merchant apps, and our own Link product, and building the tools for merchants of all sizes to manage and integrate across these surfaces. You will hold a high bar for craft and quality, and you will lead in designing intelligent AI‑driven workflows. Responsibilities Explore, shape, and communicate a compelling product vision alongside product and engineering teammates. Design and iterate on ambiguous product experiences for merchants, agents, and consumers. Work directly with senior leadership to communicate progress and evolve our strategy. Minimum Requirements 15+ years of relevant experience at a tech, product‑driven company. Impeccable visual and interaction design skills. Skilled at operating independently to turn ambiguous, horizontal problems into simple, intuitive solutions. Confident presenting work to company leadership and skilled at communicating design decisions through clear, compelling storytelling. Experienced in leading peer designers, either as a design manager or senior IC. Hybrid work at Stripe This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). In‑office expectations Office‑assigned staff spend at least 50% of the month in their local office or with users, balancing collaboration and flexibility to suit individual and team needs. Working remotely at Stripe A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 km) or more from one of our offices. While you may attend team meetings or events in person, the expectation is regular work from home. Relocation costs are not covered. Pay and Benefits The annual US base salary range for this role is $191,300–$286,900.
