Accountant (Bilingual Korean)

A respected public accounting firm in Irvine is hiring a Korean-English Bilingual Accountant to support a diverse client base with tax, accounting, and reporting functions. This position will work closely with both business and individual clients, assisting with day-to-day accounting needs and regulatory filings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle general ledger activity including reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis
• Prepare accurate financial statements and related schedules for client engagements
• Complete federal and state tax returns for individuals and business entities
• Process payroll tax reports, sales tax filings, and related compliance submissions
• Review accounting records to identify errors, inconsistencies, or missing information
• Communicate directly with clients to gather documentation and respond to accounting or tax inquiries
• Utilize Lacerte and internal systems for return preparation and financial reporting tasks
• Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities during busy periods

Qualifications:

• 35 years of recent experience within a CPA firm or public accounting environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Fluent in both Korean and English, including verbal and written communication
• Hands-on experience with tax preparation for individuals and businesses
• Strong understanding of financial statements and general ledger accounting
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Experience using Lacerte software
• Able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Self-motivated with strong professionalism and attention to detail
