Schedule: M -F 8A-5P EST Location: Newport, TN 37821 Job Type: Local contract Contract Length: 14 Week/s Pay Range: 19.92/Hour - 21.35/Hour *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education. The Phlebotomist II is responsible for performing blood collections, specimen processing, and patient registration activities while ensuring accuracy, quality, and excellent customer service. The role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Duties Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric blood collections and prepare specimens for testing. Verify patient information, ensure accurate specimen labeling, and maintain required documentation. Provide professional and compassionate patient care while explaining collection procedures. Process clinical and forensic specimens following established policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Support multiple locations as needed while maintaining quality, accuracy, and excellent customer service. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. Strong customer service, communication, and data entry skills.
