- # Facilities Technician IIIApply: Onsite: River Falls, WI: Full time: Posted 5 Days Ago: JR10013816## ***Current Employees: If you are currently employed at any of the Universities of Wisconsin, log in to Workday to apply through the internal application process.***## **Position Title:**Facilities Technician III## **Job Category:**University Staff## **Employment Type:**Regular## **Job Profile:**Facilities Technician III## **Job Duties:****RESPONSIBILITIES**:* Utilizes specialized equipment to repair and maintain complex machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation* Performs routine and non-routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness* Troubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and procedures* Receives, inspects, inventories, and distributes deliveries independently to appropriate entities* Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed* Must be available for occasional after-hours call ins weekday and weekends* Must be available for occasional assistance to Grounds Dept for snow removal* Other duties as assigned* Perform occasional asbestos-related work, including collecting bulk samples of suspected asbestos; containing materials for laboratory analysis and occasionally performing small-scale glove-bag removals.## **Key Job Responsibilities:*** Utilizes specialized equipment to repair and maintain complex machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation* Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed* Performs routine and non-routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness* Troubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and procedures* Receives, inspects, inventories, and distributes deliveries independently to appropriate entities## **Department:**Facilities**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:****Required Qualifications:*** Read, write, and communicate effectively* Use of computer, smartphone, and laptop* Mechanical Aptitude* Possession of the required Asbestos Worker Certification at the time of hire or must successfully obtain and maintain within one year of employment. The University will provide and pay for all required training and certification costs.* H.S.
