Animal Care Manager

This isn't just another shelter management job. We're looking for someone to help build something from the ground up. Beginning this August, the Humane Society of Mason County is taking over operations of the City of Shelton Animal Shelter, and we're searching for an Animal Care Manager who is excited to create a shelter culture centered around compassion, teamwork, excellent animal care, and community engagement. What you'll do: Lead the day-to-day operations of a small municipal animal shelter Mentor and support a growing team of staff and volunteers Oversee animal care, behavior, enrichment, and adoption programs Help build volunteer and community partnerships Create systems and processes that will shape the future of this shelter Work alongside an organization that believes in innovation, collaboration, and keeping pets and people together This position is ideal for someone with experience in animal welfare, veterinary medicine, or shelter leadership who wants more than maintaining the status quo.
