Network Engineer

Network EngineerProvides network support that requires system level design, architecture or enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls.• Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)• Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols.• Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols.• Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls.• Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite.• Able to support on-call requirements.• Able to work in live call environment and utilize remedy and/or other ticketing system to track tasking.• Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers.LCAT QUALIFICATIONS: CERTIFICATION: DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification EXPERIENCE:• Bachelor's degree + 3 years minimum experience, OR • No Degree + 5 years minimum experience, OR• 3 (three) years demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection.
