Director of AI Delivery

Role Overview

The leading public AI trailblazer in Energy is seeking a Director of AI Delivery to drive enterprise-wide AI adoption across its global environment.

This hands-on, delivery-focused role places equal emphasis on business leadership and AI technical depth (50% business / 50% technical) and focuses on:

• AI execution
• Enterprise alignment and enablement
• Measurable business impact

The role bridges the Executive Leadership Team and the AI Center of Excellence, translating business strategy into deployed AI capabilities and deploying AI capabilities into measurable P&L results.

The Director of AI Delivery owns two distinct portfolios:

1. Strategic Growth Portfolio

A small number of high-impact enterprise AI projects were selected in line with the company’s five-year strategy.

2. Functional Productivity Portfolio

A broader portfolio of AI initiatives across:

• Supply Chain
• Finance
• HR
• Sales & Marketing
• IT
• Engineering

These initiatives drive operational efficiency while enabling revenue growth without a proportional increase in headcount.

The Director serves as the primary interface between business leaders responsible for AI outcomes and the AI Center of Excellence responsible for delivering technical solutions.

What You’ll Do

Drive the Strategic AI Growth Portfolio

• Co-own the delivery of 2026 strategic AI initiatives from scope through production
• Apply the enterprise AI prioritization framework for future investments
• Partner with the AI Center of Excellence on:
• platform selection
• build vs. buy decisions
• ROI analysis
• Report quarterly progress to the Executive Leadership Team

Own Enterprise AI Deployment

• Lead enterprise AI deployment full-time
• Translate experiments into production solutions
• Prioritize AI roadmaps across every business function
• Drive:
• process transformation
• productivity
• revenue growth
• workflow acceleration
• operational efficiency
• Ensure adoption and measurable business value
• Own ROI tracking against enterprise productivity targets

Redesign Work for AI

• Introduce workflow redesign before AI development begins
• Prevent AI from automating broken processes
• Consolidate overlapping initiatives
• Build reusable enterprise AI capabilities instead of isolated pilots

Partner with the Technical Team

• Work closely with the AI development team
• Guide Azure Foundry development
• Shape LLM-enabled workflows
• Evaluate:

• Track enterprise AI value creation
• Translate business priorities into technical execution

Drive Adoption

• Treat Business Unit leaders as primary internal customers
• Build enterprise momentum around AI

Build Execution Discipline

• Create a practical 30 / 60 / 90-day plan
• Align ongoing initiatives
