About the Position

Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: MRI Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday Hours per Shift: 13 hours (6:30 am to 7:00 pm) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: ARRT registered Certifications: BCLS certification obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter Must-Have: Must be Influenza vaccinated unless a Medical Exemption is provided and approved Description: The organization is currently seeking a full-time MRI Technologist for 36-hour shifts on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The position requires 12-hour shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. Variable shifts may be required due to patient census. Holidays are covered by call and staff may be asked to assist. Staff must provide care appropriate to the condition and age of patients, including geriatric, pediatric, and general populations. Responsibilities include ensuring the care and safety of patients while maintaining confidentiality at all times. Staff is tasked with communicating the mission and vision of the organization and developing effective working relationships with patients and team members. Key responsibilities include performing MRI procedures while following established protocols. Technologists must screen patients for contraindications pertaining to exams and adhere to necessary safety requirements. Interviews with patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures are essential to address concerns. A high degree of tact, courtesy, and poise is required when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors. Technologists must educate patients on procedures and answer any questions thoroughly. Ensuring patient and staff safety is a priority, including explaining safety protocols and requesting the removal of hazardous metal objects. Staff must monitor patients at all times, both visually and verbally. Operating necessary equipment for daily duties and patient care is required. Maintaining a clean and orderly environment promotes good safety habits for patients and coworkers. Technologists will also report on equipment status and help monitor inventory. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.
