• Position: Cardiovascular ICU RN (CVICU RN) Travel Nurse
• Location: Charleston, SC 29406
• Assignment Length: 6 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Setting: Cardiovascular ICU / rapid response critical care environment
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• End Date: 09/21/2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in an ICU setting
• Prior Cardiovascular ICU or CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Ability to safely care for 1-3 critically ill patients
• Comfort managing ventilated patients and interpreting telemetry strips
• Experience with bedside shift report and collaborative critical care workflows
• BSN preferred
• Advanced certifications and TNCC preferred
• Previous successful travel nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiovascular and critically ill patients in a CVICU setting
• Monitor and manage complex hemodynamic and respiratory needs
• Support care for post-op CABG patients, Impella support, balloon pumps, Swan-Ganz monitoring, and advanced hemodynamics
• Assist with neuro-critical care cases including aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage and related interventions
• Perform bedside shift handoff and maintain clear communication with the interdisciplinary care team
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and fellow critical care nurses to deliver safe, effective patient care
• Be flexible and ready to float to other critical care or hold areas as needed
• Contribute to a supportive team environment while adapting to new systems and workflows
