Residential Counselor (Tue‑Sat 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM) Residential Counselor – Provides support and instruction to residents in a faith‑inspired residential program located in Salem, NJ. The position reports to a House Manager, Assistant House Manager, Program Supervisor, or Program Director. Job Summary Under supervision, the counselor assists residents with daily living skills, life skill development, and residential counseling. The role involves maintaining safety, coordinating program schedules, facilitating Individual Recovery Plan development, communicating assessments, monitoring medication use, and documenting client progress. Essential Functions Provide support services including daily living skills, life‑skill development, supportive residential counseling, and transportation as needed. Assist residents with weekly program schedules and outside activities. Maintain the security and safety of residents and the facility. Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Recovery Plans for each resident. Communicate written and verbal assessments and observations to treatment team members. Supervise and monitor residents in self‑medication. Maintain accurate client documentation in accordance with accrediting standards. Qualifications High school diploma/GED with four years of related work or life experience. LPN license with two years of related work or life experience. One or more years of college plus related work or life experience totaling four years. RN license. Bachelor’s degree with one year of related work experience. Bachelor’s degree in mental health, health, or related human services discipline. Licenses & Certifications – Valid driver’s license required. Position Details Full‑time, 40 hrs per week. Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Salary: $39,520 annually, with a sign‑on bonus available. Exempt/Non‑Exempt: Non‑Exempt.
