We are looking for a talented Field Service Technician to lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment. At IPS, our technicians are more than just fixersthey are precision experts dedicated to providing an Unmatched Customer Experience./ppPrimary Responsibilities: Mechanical Craft/pulliPrecision Assembly Alignment: Lead the installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment. Perform laser alignments and set critical air gaps and mechanical seals to OEM specifications./liliDetailed Mechanical Inspections: Utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators) to diagnose wear, verify tolerances, and ensure equipment integrity./liliAdvanced Overhauls: Replace sleeve and anti-friction bearings, gearboxes and torque critical components using specialized tooling and specs./liliTechnical Testing: Perform essential diagnostic tests using a variety of portable electronic equipment (Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLRO) to ensure system reliability./liliSpecialized Maintenance: Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment utilizing bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaning to ensure a professional finish./liliSafety Collaboration: Adhere to strict safety standards while working independently or as part of a high-performing team to hit mutual project goals./li/ulpQualifications and Mechanical Competencies:/pulliExperience: 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment./liliTool Proficiency: Proven ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints./liliAnalytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical failures in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment./liliCommunication: Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate technical findings professionally./liliThe Road Warrior Spirit: Must have a valid Drivers License and acceptable record; willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as needed for on-call field service./liliTechnical Extras (Preferred): Experience with PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a significant plus./li/ulpYoull thrive at IPS if you/pp Lead with integrity and prioritize safety.
