RN Labor and Delivery

Job Summary The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery provides specialized nursing care to postpartum patients in a high-risk obstetric environment. The role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care. The nurse supports a culturally diverse population and participates in cesarean section circulations. This position requires strong communication skills, flexibility to float within the scope, and at least one year of nursing experience with an active California RN license. Required Skills & Certifications Active Registered Nurse license in California (pending licenses not accepted). Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. Clinical skills in postpartum and obstetric care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide care in a high-risk, culturally diverse obstetric environment. Preferred Skills & Certifications Experience with cesarean section circulation. Previous labor and delivery or postpartum nursing experience. Special Considerations Weekend work is required to meet staffing needs. Travelers are expected to float first within their scope to other units as needed. RTO restrictions limit assignments to no more than 7 days at the hospital. Scheduling Shift assignments include weekends and are based on facility staffing requirements. Typical patient load includes 20 visits per day with an average daily census of 15-20 patients. #J-18808-Ljbffr
