Experienced Plant Health Technician

My client, a local family-owned company based in Woodbine, MD, offers a wide variety of tree, pest, and disease management and landscaping services. They are looking for an experienced Plant Health Technician to join their team. They serve residential, commercial, and municipal clients throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. 

Required Skills

• • Ability to perform all spray applications, including the correct selection of chemicals, mixing procedures, and application procedures
  • Ability to perform proper macro-micro injections
  • Ability to perform soil remediation, including vertical mulching with the AirSpadeTM, radial trenching with the Air Spade, and deep root soil injections
  • Understand compost tea benefits, brewing, and application
  • Possesses good working knowledge of all spray equipment
  • Ability to perform root pruning, including mechanical and AirSpade
  • Introduction to IPM scouting
  • Possesses a general knowledge of common tree and shrub identification
  • Begin ISA certified arborist process
  • Ability to perform on-site hose repair
  • Complete the CDL process
