Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Pasadena, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, evenings\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Evenings, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Aug 31, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring trauma, STEMI, stroke and sepsis experience along with TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications.Details\n \n 30-bed Emergency Department setting\n Staffing includes CNC, RNs (based on volume forecast), PCT/EMT, and unit secretary on each shift\n Patient ratios of 1-5 depending on acuity\n Uses advanced monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines\n EMR is Meditech, transitioning to Expanse in August 2026\n Performs procedures such as thoracotomy, arterial lines, and MTP\n Shift schedule is 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM\n Required to work alternate weekends\n May float to two free-standing ED locations if needed\n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required\n Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience required\n Required certifications: ENPC, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and CPI with TIC\n NRP and STABLE certifications are a plus\n Extensive experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis required\n Adult and pediatric ED experience preferred\n No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months\n US SSN and DOB required for consideration\n One professional reference required\n Additional Information\n \n Deliver advanced critical care to a high-acuity emergency department patient population\n Team environment emphasizing flexibility, accountability, and strong teamwork\n Royal blue scrubs required per facility dress code policy\n Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, with no exceptions for local candidates\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-741655.
