Locum - Nurse Practitioner - Cardiothoracic Surgery

Summary: We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Lincoln, Nebraska. This is a hospital setting where you will play an integral role in assisting in the operating room for cardiothoracic cases, including first assisting and vein harvesting. You will also be responsible for covering night call, which includes responding to phone calls and managing any emergent OR cases. Join us in providing exceptional care in a state-of-the-art facility.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in the operating room for cardiothoracic surgical cases.
Perform vein harvesting procedures.
Provide coverage for night call and manage emergency cases.
Collaboration with surgical teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Utilize EMR system EPIC for patient documentation.
Work closely with support staff to facilitate patient care.

Qualifications:

Board Certification in Nurse Practitioner.
Experience in Cardiothoracic surgery preferred.
Proficiency in vein harvesting techniques.
Experience with EPIC EMR system is highly preferred.
Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Nebraska or IMLC with a Letter of Qualification in hand.
Board Certification required.
Availability to begin at the time of name clearance is essential.
