Database Engineer II

To support the global physical security platform, the full-time Database Engineer II will design, implement, and manage large-scale databases, ensuring high availability and performance in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Own the design, implementation, and support of databases critical to operational success Establish security controls and monitor data management policies and procedures Collaborate with software development teams to optimize database performance and scalability Required qualifications Master's degree in Networking, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus three years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus five years of experience Three years of experience in Linux and/or Windows Systems administration Experience with database administration technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS-SQL Experience with NoSQL technologies like DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra Experience with ETL tools and Hadoop system administration
