Warehouse Operator

Sandvik Mining & Rock is recruiting a Warehouse Technician for our White Pine facility located at 3307, Old Airport Road White Pine, TN.JOB PURPOSETo execute the operations functions at a transactional level and to lead small task teams within the relevant warehouse section to ultimately meet key performance indicators within the guidelines of all established policies and procedures. You will contribute to a clean and safe working environment ensuring an effective and efficient execution of the distribution operations, profitability of the organization and customer satisfaction through performing basic distribution operational processes maintaining quality and productivity standards.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESReceive correct parts and quantities in time and on timeAssist with stock counts – Wall to wall and cycle countsReceiving of inbound purchase orders or transfer ordersPut-away/binning of stockPicking of ordersPacking of ordersAssist in accurately and methodically preparing shipping/export documentation for relevant ordersMaintains and update warehouse location data in Sandvik systemsCompletes detailed administrative data entry in Sandvik IT systemReports any discrepancies with regard to inventory, safety and other anomaliesHandles customer queries when requested to sort out relevant issues (Internal and external customers)Make deliveries to customer location on rotation (internal and external)Participates in continuous improvement projectsLPS supportEnsure that all warehouse equipment is working properly and that safety procedures are followedOn callWarehouse administration and housekeepingOther duties as assignedEXPERIENCE1-2 years’ experience in Warehousing/ Distribution/ Supply Chain environment, InventoryForklift driving experience/certification Ability to use RFT, Warehouse Management System, Badge related systems and other warehouse systems as assigned.EDUCATION, LICENCES & CERTIFICATESHigh School or equivalent experience. Post-secondary education/training in business or supply chain discipline would be of advantage. Forklift driving experience/certificationOTHER:Desirable English Proficiency: Upper Intermediate (CEFR B2/ Completed EF level 9) Must be able to read and interpret customer orders, procedures and policies. Ability to effectively communicate to managers, supervisors, team leads and other employees to address customer or warehouse issues.
