Hourly Store Manager FT 6734 Full Time 30-40 hrs – Alexandria Exchange, Alexandria, VA, US Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (No weekends, no late nights) DUTIES Manage a retail activity with annual sales under $5 M and direct and supervise all store personnel. Assist customers and resolve complaints, interview, hire, train, and coach employees. Develop and execute promotional sales in coordination with CSC HQ staff; oversee competitive price checks and submit to HQ buying staff. Work with vendors and HQ buying staff on operations of assigned departments or selections; ensure store recovery and supervise vending and warehouse operations. Maintain product knowledge, assist customers, and react quickly to all concerns. Open and close the store as required, including scheduled weekends. Review monthly P&L’s and, when plan is not achieved, initiate action plans to bring future months in line. Enforce loss‑prevention policies and alert line; ensure compliance with safety and emergency preparedness. Ensure employees receive required Coast Guard training (e.g., Civil Rights Awareness, Sexual Harassment Prevention) and that required posters are displayed. What You’ll Do: Lead daily store operations with a focus on service, efficiency, and execution. Engage directly with Coast Guard members to provide exceptional customer experience. Build and maintain strong partnerships with local command. Drive sales, merchandising, and operational standards. Ensure the store reflects the mission and pride of the Coast Guard community. Ability to routinely lift 10 lb and occasionally lift 25 lb; stand for long periods. Preferred Qualifications P&L analysis experience. Bachelor’s degree in retail or business administration (or related) with at least two years of specialized experience, or equivalent general business experience. Current U.S. Coast Guard NAF department or assistant manager. Additional Requirements Must be 18 years or older. Must have open availability.
