Operational AccountantLexington, KY, US On-site Manufacturing - All Other Vaco $USD 80000 - 105000 Direct HirePosition SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Operational & Consolidations Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, consolidations, and operational accounting activities across multiple business units. This role will work closely with accounting and operational teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data, streamline reporting processes, and provide insights that support business performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidations across multiple entities and business units.Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.Maintain consolidation schedules, intercompany transactions, and eliminations.Analyze financial results and investigate variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.Prepare account reconciliations and ensure balance sheet integrity.Support corporate and operational reporting requirements for leadership.Partner with business unit leaders to understand operational drivers impacting financial performance.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.Coordinate audit requests and support external and internal audit processes.Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.Support ERP system maintenance, reporting enhancements, and data integrity initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.Experience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, and financial analysis.Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling.Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across departments.Preferred QualificationsCPA designation or CPA candidate preferred.Experience with multi-location, multi-entity, or international consolidations.Experience with systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Dynamics 365, Hyperion, OneStream, or BlackLine.Prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, professional services, or private equity-backed organizations.Key CompetenciesFinancial Reporting & ConsolidationsAccount ReconciliationsGeneral Ledger AccountingVariance AnalysisIntercompany AccountingProcess ImprovementData AnalysisERP SystemsBusiness PartnershipAttention to DetailBy submitting to this position, you are agreeing to be included in our talent pool for future hiring for similarly qualified positions.
