Supply Chain ManagerSupply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing the purchasing and contract negotiations of raw material, subcontract services and MRO for the organization. The role will provide negotiation support for all company purchases. This position is also responsible for managing the supply chain team.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:Identify opportunities for procurement improvements and implement strategies to achieve identified improvementsBroaden and deepen relationships with existing and new suppliers while driving efficiency and cost reductionsProvide leadership for supplier development efforts to optimize value and quality excellence to support our growth efforts into the medical market segmentsDrive continuous improvement throughout all processes of the Supply ChainSelect vendors who will provide consistently superior quality and deliveryManage and improve the Company's Certified Supplier ProgramImprove and maintain proper supplier quality controlsDrive inventory reductions through the creation of kanban, supplier managed inventory and inventory consignment programsManage raw material, WIP and finished goods inventories to provide competitive lead times for our customers while minimizing our investment and riskDevelop and recommend purchasing policies for the organizationManage the maintenance of records of purchase, delivery dates, vendors, costs and other resourcesApprove plans to work out remedies for defective or unacceptable goods or servicesPartner with operations, purchasing and customer service to drive effective strategiesSupervise the day-to day activities of the purchasing team, shipping and inventory control teams including timecard review and performance plan reviewAssist in expanding the company culture to one of continuous improvement and accountabilityParticipate and drive programs essential to company success (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.)Assess and improve written procedures and SOPs related to the purchasing function of the CompanyMonitor the utilization of employee safety and OE programsPartner with the other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and financeUnderstand customer needs and the core business markets we serveEnsure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properlyParticipate in required company meetingsMaintain an organized work area (5S)Support and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirementsComplete all other work duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl.
