Assembler 1, General | Durham, North Carolina, United States Assembler I - Blister Production Location: Durham, NC | Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM | Pay: Starting at $18.20/hour | Status: Contract-to-Hire About the Role Join a leading manufacturing team in Durham, NC as an Assembler I for our Blister Production line. In this hands-on role, you'll assemble and test subassemblies on state-of-the-art XF and Ultra machines. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity ideal for individuals seeking to grow their manufacturing skills in a supportive, safety-focused environment. No drug screening required. Steel or composite toe shoes are a must. Responsibilities - Assemble and test mechanical and electrical subassemblies following detailed Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) - Route, strip, and prepare wires; install pins and ferrules - Operate hand and measuring tools such as torque wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, drills, and polarity checkers - Perform quality checks and basic testing on finished assemblies - Maintain a clean and safe workspace; comply with all safety standards - Meet daily production targets and deadlines as set by the Team Lead - Support production with overtime as needed Required Skills and Experience - High school diploma or GED - Ability to follow written work instructions and assembly procedures accurately - Mechanical aptitude; skilled with hand tools - Keen attention to detail and commitment to product quality - Team player with the ability to work independently Preferred Skills - Previous manufacturing or assembly experience - Experience working with small components and repetitive tasks Benefits - Competitive starting pay with overtime opportunities - Fast-paced, team-oriented work environment - Contract-to-hire path for strong performers - Day shift schedule for work-life balance - No drug screening required How to Apply Ready to launch your manufacturing career?
