Roles & Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients to restore function and mobility
- Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans of care
- Document services accurately and timely to ensure continuity of care
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs in accordance with practice acts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, patients, and families to achieve goals
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
- Active state PT license or the ability to obtain one quickly
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills
- Flexibility to adapt to varying facilities, schedules, and patient needs
- A passion for helping others and working as part of a team
Education
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT/MSPT/BSPT)
Knowledge & Skills
- Physical therapy evaluation and treatment expertise
- Patient assessment and individualized treatment planning
- Accurate and timely medical documentation
- Knowledge of state and federal PT regulations and facility guidelines
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and patient education skills
