Head of Capital Markets

Ledgend Group is partnering with a New York investment bank serving emerging growth and middle-market issuers on a confidential search for a Head of Capital Markets.
This is a build seat with the title attached. The hire owns the capital markets function outright: pricing, syndicate, distribution, and the investor relationships that determine whether a deal clears. It reports directly to firm leadership and carries hiring authority as volume supports it.
What you will own
- Execution across the public equity product set: IPOs, follow-ons, registered directs, PIPEs, ATMs, convertibles, and warrant transactions
- Syndicate and institutional distribution, including book-building, pricing, and allocation
- Market read and pricing guidance alongside banking coverage at the pitch stage, not after the mandate
- Distribution support for the firm's expanding private credit and structured products effort
- Building the desk underneath you
What we are looking for
- 8+ years in equity capital markets, syndicate, or capital markets execution, currently at the Director, Principal, or senior VP level
- Live institutional relationships among the funds that participate in small and micro-cap offerings
- Execution reps you can walk through deal by deal: structure, pricing, outcome
- Comfort operating without large-platform infrastructure behind you
- Series 7, 63, and 79. Series 24 held or obtainable promptly upon transition
Compensation is base plus deal economics and is competitive for the seat.
