Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of critical care experience for a night shift position in a hospital's respiratory therapy department.

Job Details

• Work within a hospital respiratory therapy department,
• Adult and neonatal patient population preferred,
• Provide respiratory care in various critical care units, general respiratory care, and adult and pediatric emergency room settings,
• Perform ventilator management, arterial blood gases, CPAP/BIPAP, O2 therapy, CPT, and aerosolized medication administration,
• Participate in CPR/code team response,
• Utilize computerized documentation systems,
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM,
• 36 hours per week,
• Every other weekend required,

Job Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required,
• State license required if applicable,
• BLS/CPR certification via AHA required,
• ACLS certification preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of experience including critical care experience,
• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program,
• Experience at a comparable facility size preferred,

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient respiratory care treatments and assist in evaluating patients with respiratory illness,
• Work as part of a critical care and code team,
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate outside a 60-mile radius
