  • Deploy and support Cisco DMVPN hub-and-spoke and spoke-to-spoke overlay networks.
  • Configure and troubleshoot IPsec VPN profiles, GRE tunnels, NHRP mappings, and tunnel interfaces.
  • Implement dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) over DMVPN tunnels for failover and path optimization.
  • Design failover and redundancy strategies including LTE/5G backup paths.
  • Monitor VPN tunnel health, latency, and throughput to maintain performance standards.
  • Coordinate Metro Ethernet circuit provisioning and incident resolution with service providers.
  • Manage dual-WAN redundancy and carrier handoff configurations at field sites.
  • Perform field installations and cutovers of network equipment such as routers, switches, and cabinets.
  • Manage VLANs, IP addressing, and Layer 2/3 connectivity between remote sites and data centers.

  • Troubleshoot network issues from field sites through WAN to data centers.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams and configuration records.
  • Support traffic signal control systems, CCTV platforms, and IoT devices with reliable transport connectivity.
  • Coordinate field cabinet upgrades for new network equipment and environmental needs.
  • Manage migration from legacy infrastructure to DMVPN-based transport.
  • Monitor network performance and service-level compliance across ITS transport links.
  • Ensure encrypted communications and compliance with security policies.
  • Manage VPN certificate lifecycles, key rotation, and trust domains.

  • Travel throughout the District of Columbia required; valid driver s license mandatory.
  • Ability to lift and rack network equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Participation in scheduled maintenance windows.
  • On-call availability for after-hours emergency response.
