Behavioral Health Technician - Youth Mental Health Facility (Weekend Shift)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Weekend Behavioral Health Technician to support our clinical team and contribute to creating a safe, supportive environment for our youth clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people while working in a collaborative and growth-oriented setting.

Part-time shift available:

Sat & Sun - (10am to 10pm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and supervise youth in a crisis setting to ensure safety and well-being
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Daily chart documentation
• Maintain a safe, clean and structured environment
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and confidentially standards at all time.
• Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.

Below are a few job duties to expect as a Behavioral Health Tech:

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be 21 years of age
• Additional training in mental health or behavioral support preferred
• Prior experience working with youth or in a mental health setting is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
• Basic knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Able to work every other weekend is required
