Sam's Club #6333 47 Haskell Rd Bangor, ME 04401-4229 Position Summary Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards by implementing action plans and applying the Open Door Policy in executing business processes and practices. Responsibilities Operate forklift following company standards, safely picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets. Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks while communicating progress and recommendations, and adapt to change and feedback. Receive stock and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, managing inventory flow; comply with company policies for equipment use; correct shelf capacity; complete required paperwork logs and document inventory exceptions. Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, providing guidance/support regarding self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting club products and services. Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials responsibly, adhering to company steel standards, and reporting unsafe situations. Maintain sales floor and merchandising presentation: zone area, stock and rotate merchandise, remove damaged or out-of-date goods, set up and clean displays, maintain modular integrity, receive, sort, stage, and deliver merchandise, ensure prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise, process defective merchandise following sanitation and food safety rules, and monitor shrink, security risks, and safety. Ensure club pick-up orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging orders, ensuring they are staged per policy, supporting Merchandising Associates, and performing occasional audits for accuracy. Handle inventory and display goods safely; track goods, maintain in-stock levels, control shrinkage timely; report poor inventory practices; use inventory tools and equipment safely. Operate and maintain forklifts safely; report poor or unsafe conditions; notify Management of malfunctioning forklifts. Proactively identify customers needing help; engage them; assist with technology services and items; model and help others with tech services. Identify shrink opportunities and problems in products, services, or work areas; take steps to fix them. Maintain equipment, ensure products are organized and properly stocked, and fix issues promptly.
