Travel RN – PCU / Telemetry (Days)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry/PCU unit with a focus on cardiac and geriatric populations
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including chest pain, MI, open heart surgery, Watchman procedures, TAVR, and post-op cardiac cath and pacer placements
• Maintain an RN patient ratio of 1:5, utilizing equipment such as pacers and arterial lines
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Float to 1:1 assignments as needed based on unit staffing requirements
• Adhere to facility dress code standards, including approved scrub colors and professional appearance guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania or compact state eligibility
• Cardiac Catheterization experience required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, Telemetry, or Cardiac setting
• Must complete all required Pennsylvania state clearances prior to start, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, DHS Fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH PA State Police Clearance
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiac geriatric patient populations
• Familiarity with EPIC EHR
• Experience with pacers and arterial lines
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with adaptability to a fast-paced acute care environment
