Packaging Specialist

Summary Position to provide technical packaging support, maintain master data, resolve packaging issues, and provide guidance on packaging design. Duties Provide technical expertise and maintain packaging master data. Interpret packaging requirements and give guidance on appropriate packaging solutions. Assist with packaging testing, marking, palletization, and quantity‑unit pack requirements. Maintain packaging supplemental data and special packaging instructions. Address packaging issues, initiate actions, and provide resolution information. Conditions of Employment U.S. citizenship required. Security requirement: Non‑Critical Sensitive. FLSA status: Non‑Exempt. Selective Service registration required for males born after 12‑31‑59. Appointment subject to suitability or fitness determination. Real ID or other acceptable identification required for access to federal facilities. Qualifications Specialized experience: One year of packaging or related experience. For GS‑09 level, equivalent to GS‑07; for GS‑11 level, equivalent to GS‑09. Education: For GS‑09, master’s degree or two full years of graduate education; for GS‑11, Ph.D. or three full years of graduate education. Combination of education and experience may meet requirements if the combined percentage equals at least 100 %. Must obtain DoD Acquisition Engineering and Tech Management (N)/ETM Foundational acquisition certification within required timeframes and complete 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points every two years. #J-18808-Ljbffr DLA Careers
