TAKEOFF PLANNER & MATERIAL BUYER

Elite Corporate Solutions is currently recruiting a Takeoff Planner & Materials Buyer on behalf of a construction company U.S.-based. This role is responsible for performing accurate material takeoffs from project plans, preparing material lists, and coordinating the procurement of materials. A key responsibility is also to prepare and submit complete material and installation proposals (BIDs) based on takeoffs, supplier quotes, and labor scope. You’ll work closely with our U.S.-based team, including project managers, estimators, and vendors, to ensure cost-effective, timely, and accurate support for ongoing construction projects.

• Analyze architectural and engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to perform accurate quantity takeoffs.
• Prepare comprehensive material lists for each phase of construction.
• Research and communicate with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and availability of materials.
• Prepare and submit material proposals (BIDs) based on takeoffs and supplier quotes.
• Coordinate the procurement process by placing purchase orders according to project schedules and budgets.
• Monitor order progress, delivery timelines, and resolve any supply chain issues.
• Work closely with site supervisors and project teams to forecast material needs and avoid delays or excess inventory.
• Maintain organized records of takeoffs, purchase orders, vendor communications, and delivery confirmations.
• Stay updated on market trends to optimize purchasing strategies

What We’re Looking For

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Mechanical, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in takeoffs and procurement within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in creating or reading technical drawings (blueprints, floor plans, mechanical diagrams, etc.)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines.
• Bilingual: English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD or any other similar drawing software: STACK, DraftSight, BricsCAD, ZWCAD, etc.
• Familiarity with supplier relationship and inventory management.
• Ability to interpret complex construction documents and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient using Takeoff and estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or eTakeoff.
• Experience with U.S.-based construction standards and material types.
