Remote Job Details Fulltime Remote. East Coast who are open to travel, which can be remote Visa Independent consultants required Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers, and IT teams to define solution requirements aligned with manufacturing strategy. Design scalable, secure, and efficient solutions integrating shop floor systems (e.g., MES, SCADA) with enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, PLM, QMS). Proficiency in AWS, Microservices architecture and modern Software technology practices. In-depth knowledge of API Management, systems integration, data interoperability, on-prem and cloud infrastructure, operations, security/privacy requirements, and commercially available services and s Lead solution design for smart factory initiatives, including IoT, data analytics, and digital twin technologies. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and vendors for manufacturing systems. Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements. Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout project lifecycles—from conceptual design to implementation. Support process mapping, gap analysis, and system configuration in coordination with cross-functional teams. Create and maintain architectural documentation including system blueprints, data flow diagrams, and integration patterns. Identify and mitigate risks associated with solution design and delivery. Stay current with trends in Industry 4.0, manufacturing technologies, and digital transformation. Experience 10+ years of experience in IT, systems integration, or enterprise architecture roles. 5+ years of experience specifically in manufacturing or industrial automation environments. Technical Skills Deep experience of data modeling, integration patterns (e.g., APIs, middleware, OPC-UA), and cybersecurity in OT/IT environments. Deep Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and edge computing. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics). Good understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies: IIoT, predictive maintenance, digital twins, etc Familiarity with manufacturing operations and technologies (e.g., MES, SCADA, PLCs, HMI, DCS). Familiarity with EAM systems like Maximo. Preferred Certifications TOGAF, ArchiMate, or other architecture frameworks. Certified AWS / Azure / GCP Solutions Architect - Master/Professional level.
