This facility operates as a leading acute care medical center providing southern West Virginia with emergency, surgical, and specialized cardiac and trauma services. The facility maintains the clinical resources and established protocols necessary to support inpatient interventional cardiology coverage on an on-site basis. Clinical operations are supported by a structured team that includes 7 RNs, 8 techs, and a dedicated call team of 3 RNs and 1 tech.

West Virginia offers clinicians on assignment a range of outdoor and regional activities suited to varied interests. The state provides access to whitewater rafting, kayaking, paddleboarding, zipline and adventure park experiences, underground cavern attractions, historic sites, scenic drives, waterfall hikes, and ATV excursions. Clinicians (Clinicians) may explore a broad range of terrain and activities throughout the region during their time on assignment.

The interventional cardiologist will provide 24-hour inpatient call coverage on-site, with responsibilities including availability for consults on unassigned cardiology inpatients and performing procedures as credentialed by the facility. Locum case volume ranges from 0 to a few cases per week. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and clinicians must maintain continuous availability throughout each designated coverage period. Board certification in Interventional Cardiology is required for consideration.
