City Administrator – City of Cascade Locks, OR The City of Cascade Locks is a 1,415‑resident community located in Hood River County, Oregon, within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The city operates with a 2025‑2026 budget of $16,445,668 and 15 full‑time employees across Administration, Finance, Public Works, Fire & Emergency Services, and a municipal electric utility. Key Responsibilities Implement city council policy and manage day‑to‑day municipal operations. Direct departmental activities and oversee the city’s budget. Administer public utilities and contracts, ensuring compliance with ordinances and regulations. Attend council meetings, prepare reports and recommendations, and support council decision‑making. Serve as the central link between policy and implementation, advising elected officials while managing operations. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration and five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in municipal government. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred. Residency within Cascade Locks is strongly preferred but not required. Equivalent combinations of experience and training that demonstrate the ability to perform these duties are acceptable. Compensation $90,000 – $115,000 per year plus benefits.
