Manager Social Media

About the Role: The San Diego Seals are looking for a creative, driven, and strategic Social Media Manager to lead our digital voice across all platforms. As a core member of the marketing and content team, you'll be responsible for driving brand awareness, fan engagement, and ticket sales through compelling content and storytelling. We're looking for someone who lives and breathes social trends, can shoot/edit quick-turn video content, and thrives in a fast-paced, sports environment. Flexibility to travel for games (including weekends) and other key events is a must. Responsibilities: • Own and execute the San Diego Seals’ social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, etc.) • Create, capture, and edit photo/video content that brings our brand and players to life. • Work closely with creative, marketing, and community teams to align messaging across campaigns. • Provide real-time coverage at games (home and select away) and special events • Monitor trends and analytics to optimize content and engagement. • Collaborate with league partners and team stakeholders for cross-promotion and campaign support. Qualifications: • 3-5 years of experience in social media and content creation, preferably in sports or entertainment. • Strong video editing skills (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or similar). • Experienced Videographer a plus • A sharp eye for visual storytelling, memes, trends, and athlete marketing. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. • Must work all 9 home games • Must be able to travel with the team on select road games and appearances.
