We’d love to talk with you Who are and what we do CFZ Pediatric Therapy is a specialized pediatric facility designed for children and adolescents of all ages and abilities. CFZ offers comprehensive physical, occupational, speech, feeding, and aquatic therapy services, with dedicated spaces such as sensory gyms, fine motor rooms, individual speech treatment rooms, and a child-focused physical therapy gym that includes a rock climbing wall and baby-friendly areas. CFZ fosters a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and high-quality clinical practice. Job Summary The Occupational Therapist (OT) will carry out an individualized program of occupational therapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient\'s progress toward achieving functional goals. The OT will also maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff. Purpose: The purpose of an OT is to provide quality pediatric occupational therapy to maximize functional outcomes by addressing sensory processing skills, fine and gross motor skills, activities of daily living (ADLs), visual-perceptual and visual-motor skills, and improving overall quality of life. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of the population age groups (generally Birth to 21 years of age) that will be receiving services. Effectively communicate with patients, professionals, and caregivers. Demonstrate ability to be a team player. Exhibit ability to multi-task, or able to acknowledge, balance and respond to situations, interruptions, and distractions. Show good initiative, flexibility, and take responsibility for actions. Computer Skills: Possess ability to work on a variety of platforms including internet and/or cloud-based applications, electronic medical records systems, and video conferencing programs Required Education and Experience Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) accredited occupational therapy program. Obtain license from the State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners. Maintain current license to practice occupational therapy in the State of Connecticut. Experience working with children is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Duties require frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
